Paw Patrol Birthday Cake

 

We recently celebrated my son’s 3rd birthday and of course, it was my pleasure to make his birthday cake. He loves Paw Patrol, and I planned this elaborate two tiered cookies and cream cake. The bottom tier was a chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling and the top tier was a vanilla cake with cookies and cream filling. Delicious! 

Sometimes, things don’t always go as planned. I had planned on using my Edible Image Printer to create the shields and logos for the cake, but…. you guess it, the printer didn’t work! So after figuring out how to replace it, I got to work on hand-making all of his Paw Patrol decorations. These shields were made the “old school” way of tracing and cutting gumpaste into shape and attaching. After all of that, my son did end up with a Paw Patrol – ish cake for his birthday! All in all, he enjoyed it!
